Introduction:
Chestnuts is located on a private drive half way up Bove Town and overlooks Glastonbury and the Vale of Avalon. We have three guest rooms. Whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests, being situated on a hill and having steps to the front door may make access difficult for people with limited mobility. However, once inside we have two rooms on the same floor as the dining room. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious.

Pre-Arrival:
We are located on a private unmarked drive. Our location is peaceful and within walking distance of all the sights of Glastonbury.

The nearest shops are approximately 5 minutes walk.
The nearest bus stop is 2 minutes walk away.
There are regular buses to Wells, Street, Bath, Bristol etc
The nearest railway station is Castle Cary about 15 miles away. It is advisable to book a taxi if required.
There are several local taxi companies; we can make bookings in advance for you.
The nearest International Airport is 25 miles away at Bristol.
There are daily coaches from London and Heathrow.
Our accommodation is not suitable for children under 10 years old.
We are unable to accommodate pets.

Arrival and Car Parking:
Check in is between 4pm and 6pm in winter and 4.30pm and 6.30pm in summer. Please advise us if you are likely to arrive outside these times.
Parking is on the tarmac area. Please park facing the house. You may park earlier by arrangement.
We have outside lighting.
We can lock up cycles in the garage.
We offer assistance with luggage.

Main Entrance:
There are 17 wide steps (3 x 18 cm high and 14 x 12 cm high) up to the front door with a wall to the left side.
There is a small reception shelf and a selection of local information.
The hall and corridors are well lit.

Guest Accommodation:
Public Areas:
The house is built on a slope and has an upper and lower ground floor.
The main entrance is on the upper ground floor.
The hallway leads into the open plan dining area.
There are 12 stairs from the hallway to the lower ground floor; there is a hand rail to one side and wall to the other.
The stairs are carpeted and are 9cm high.
We have two guest bedrooms on the upper ground floor and one on the lower ground floor. (please see section "Bedrooms" for more information).
The house is centrally heated throughout and all radiators have individual thermostats.

Dining Room:
The open plan dining room is through the double doors leading off the hall Breakfast is served in the dining room.
In fine weather we offer an alfresco breakfast on the balcony.
Bedrooms Amber room has a Kingsize bed and en- suite facilities.
Aquamarine room has twin beds (which can be made in to a superking bed ) and en-suite facilities.
Amethyst room has a Kingsize bed and private bathroom .

All bedrooms:
Are carpeted throughout and have a range of lights.
Have a generous hospitality tray with cordless kettle.
Spring water is provided on request.
Have freeview digital TV with remote control, free internet access, hair dryer, torch, magazines and toiletries.
Have a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and 2 chairs.
Have a folder containing further information on Chestnuts and the area.
Bedding is hypoallergenic .
We use duvets.
All beds have memory foam mattresses.
Have 2 windows with views and a bathroom window.

Bedroom Amber:
Upper ground floor off hallway
This room has a 5' kingsize bed with access from both sides.
Bathroom with marble tiled floor. 2.27m x 1.75m.
Corner bath with shower, WC, handbasin.

Bedroom Aquamarine:
Upper ground floor off hallway
This room can either provide two 3 ' single beds or one 6' double.
Bathroom with tiled floor. 2.95mx 1.65m.
Shower, WC, handbasin.

Bedroom Amethyst:
Lower ground floor reached by 12 x 9cm steps.
This room has a 5 'Kingsize bed with access from both sides.
This room has a private bathroom 2.5m away.

Large shower, WC, handbasin

We offer a limited room service menu.
We are happy to cater for special diets.
There is a fire extinguisher in the kitchen.
There are fire escape plans in each room.
We do not permit smoking in the house or garden.
Smoking is allowed in the car park.
Mobile phone reception at the house is good.
In house complementary therapist offers range of treatments.
